overview

National Agri-Food and Biomanufacturing Institute has developed a sustainable nanocomposite film technology using lignin extracted from agro-waste such as wheat straw and sugarcane bagasse. Through nanoparticle synthesis and biopolymer blending, these biodegradable films offer UV resistance, antioxidant properties, and smart color-changing indicators for freshness detection making them ideal for eco-friendly food packaging and shelf-life enhancement.
