RuTAG-Cell, IIT Kharagpur, has developed a rope-making machine to reduce the drudgery involved in traditional Sabai grass rope making. The machine, initially leg-driven and later motor-driven, allows one-person operation with simultaneous grass feeding. It ensures high-quality ropes and significantly improves production rates.
