India is among the few countries in the world with a robust science advisory ecosystem that helps translate scientific knowledge into impactful policy outcomes. The Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India supports the country's technological future through two apex national science advisory platforms: ➡️ Prime Minister’s Science, Technology and Innovation Advisory Council (PM-STIAC) ➡️ Empowered Technology Group (ETG) Bringing together eminent scientists, technologists, policymakers, and government leaders, these mechanisms identify emerging opportunities, address critical challenges, and guide strategic interventions across priority sectors. PM-STIAC and ETG have played a key role in advancing policy choices and national missions in frontier areas such as Quantum Technologies, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber-Physical Systems, One Health, Green Hydrogen, and Deep Ocean Exploration.
